Teamwork

The Ladybugs are working on time to the hour and half hour.

We've had lots of visitors checking us out for next year.  Our kids have been great hosts!

As part of math in the Ladybugs, we have been writing surveys and then going out into the neighborhood to gather data.

Who would have thought that we would find a dog on a roof?  That's going on the next survey sheet.   Several of the children have already drawn our next surveys.  They love this kind of work.

Math games with the Sharks.

Some of our Creator friends came to help us write books in the morning.

Then in the afternoon, a few Octopi stopped in to help us finish up the books.

We love working with the older kids.
One of the best things about Seabury is the flexibility we have to work together as a team.  When the Ladybugs need a few extra hands, I just have to ask and the other teachers loan us some helpers.  The younger kids love working with the older kids and the older kids really "get" the Ladybugs.  They are patient and kind to the kids.  Both groups of kids feel good about the interaction and I get the help I need to finish a project.  The same dynamics happen when one of the teachers says, "I have a great math (science, social studies or art) activity.  The children all benefit from the enthusiasm from the staff as we get to share our ideas.  The best things happen at Seabury when we all work together for the good of the kids!
