Science Fair and other adventures

making polymers, they are really fun to play with!

physics-inclines and marbles

Chemistry, which gives you the best reaction?  More vinegar or more baking soda?

science is just fun!

Which works better-a steeper incline or a longer run?  It takes multiple tries to know for sure.

chromatography and color mixing

more physics, constructing structures that will stay up
Science Fair was a big success again this year.  The projects that the Seabury students come up with are amazing!  Even our youngest students do a great job of performing experiments and explaining them to our guests.  Thanks to all the parents that supported this project at home.

We were so into science at school today that we invited the Shark class to join us for a variety of experiments.   The noise in the classroom was deafening but the enthusiasm was contagious!  All of the children were engaged in meaningful learning, the kids asked and answered relevant questions and even posed ideas for changing the experiments next time.   We decided we should do this again!

more Dr. Seuss activities
The Ladybugs are really enjoying all the work we've been doing on science experiments.  This one involved milk, soap and food coloring.  Dr. Seuss has inspired very interesting discussions, rhyming work and art projects.  At the school read in at the beginning of March, we mixed the kids altogether and had a pajama day with lots of reading and doing some Dr. Seuss activities.
