Apples

The Ladybugs have been learning about apples. We brainstormed what we already knew about apples and did a scientific observation using our 5 senses. We tasted apples, peeled and cut them, baked pies and measured the peels.  We learned about the life cycle of apple trees, read apple books (“Ten Apples up on Top” was a favorite).  We did math based on that book. We worked on beginning equations using apple cutouts and we graphed our favorite apples. Finally, we wrote a class book about apples and dictated apple facts.
